Employability Day 2023

On 30th June our colleagues and learners have joined with providers across the UK to celebrate Employability Day. This year's theme is #WorkingForBetterWork and provides an opportunity to celebrate supporting people from disadvantaged communities to enter or progress in employment. Our teams have held various events to mark the occasion including the Restart team in East Wales, walking 6000 steps in the typical Welsh weather to represent that every step counts when you’re on a journey to employment. Other Welsh colleagues invited employers to speak with learners about opportunities available and sharing experiences from learners old and new. Our Scotland team commemorated their recent milestone of five incredible years of delivering Fair Start Scotland, plus the contract extension. Teams across England reflected on and celebrated the difference we make in people’s lives every single day with parties and jobs fairs taking place around the country.
